Definitions of Categories:

Category 1 Losses (Not Shown): Damage inflicted to aircraft that is capable of being repaired "in the field" by the squadron.

Category 2 Losses: Damage inflicted to aircraft is of such severity that it must be sent to a repair depot or the manufacturer for repair.

Category 3 Losses: Damage resulting in the total loss of the aircraft for various reasons (shot down, or broke in half on landing, etc.)
