What's New On General Staff?

Note: Since my rate of development of GeneralStaff.org has slowed down significantly in the last few years, I thought I would revive this section to show that actual progress is happening (albeit slowly). – The Webmaster.

2009 – Site originally created as alternatewars.com – you can view the old alternatewars.com “What's New” list from 2017-2023 HERE.

2023

10 February 2023 – Migration of hosting services and site name change from AlternateWars.com to GeneralStaff.org. Sections will slowly be uploaded as time permits.

19 February 2023 – Added the AR15 Forge Markings page to the Firearms Page. This article attempts to lay out photographically what the various “forge markings” on AR15 parts mean. Useful if you're at a gun show and trying to figure out if that part is worth buying, and there's little (or no) information provided by the seller.

2024

3 March 2024 – Added R-1754-PR: The U.S. ICBM Force: Current Issues and Future Options (October 1975) (4.7 MB PDF) to the WW3 Documents page. This remarkable document contains a large amount of information on the “second generation” of US ICBMs (Minuteman I/II/III and Titan II) during the early 1970s; as well as a large amount of highly useful data otherwise.

6 March 2024 – Added NSIAD-95-89 – Industrial Base: Inventory and Requirements for Artillery Projectiles (March 1995) (1.1 MB PDF) to the WW3 Documents page. This document details the US Military's shell inventory as of roughly November 1994; which gives you a general idea of how big the U.S. munitions base was in the final years of the Cold War.
