The Medium Imperial-class Repulsortank is a limited production command vehicle, which are employed by platoon officers in the field to keep close command on their units. Its secondary weapon, an anti-personnel heavy repeating blaster allows protection against ground troops, while not allowing officers to seek out maverick engagements. The 1-M features enough space for the driver, gunner, lieutenant and sergeant major, and the communications equipment necessary for the command of the armour unit. When compared to the 1-L and the 1-H, the 1-M has more room and crew space. The M-1 is the basic model of the Imperial-class Repulsortank. The main heavy gun was replaced with a command and control seat for the commanding officer. These craft are assigned the medium designation since they lack the armament of a heavy repulsortank, and officers do not ride in light repulsortanks.
