The Kleeque-class Intersystem Transport is employed by several larger Rebel units to move men, weapons and material from one operational theatre to another. It has also been employed by the Rebel Alliance to run blockades and enter into hot landing zones, even though the Kleeque was never designed to enter space combat. In Rebel service, these modified medium-range shuttles tend to be overworked, under crewed and overcrowded. It is known that before Imperial Forces had struck a righteous blow against the Rebellion at the Battle of Hoth, the Rebels' Echo Base had six of these transports fuelled and ready to leave at an hours' notice.
