The Mobile Artillery is a small repulsorlift platform which saw Imperial service some time before the Battle of Yavin. Although this craft is in many instances the exact opposite of the AT-AA, it shares similar strengths and vulnerabilities. It is vulnerable to air attack and is unfortunately relatively fragile. However, it is relatively effective against infantry, but the same cannot be said when it is employed against armoured vehicles. Delivery of these craft onto the battlefield is possible via Sentinel-class Landing Shuttles. An undeployed Mobile Artillery is quick and agile. In order to deploy its medium-range artillery launcher (which is capable of lobbing deadly bursts of energy in a parabolic arc), it first must stop and deploy its forward and lateral support beams, and drop to the ground. During this process, its gun extends from its retracted position, and its gun turret raises itself from the platform's body. Once these phases (which only take a few seconds) are complete the platform is ready to fire. The platform is capable of darting into position, hitting its target quickly and pulling out before danger can come to it.
