The Gian Speeder is a landspeeder used by the Naboo volunteer Royal Security Forces, it is more heavily armed and less manoeuvrable than the Flash Speeder. Both the Gian Speeder and Flash Speeder are the most common Naboo ground security craft. Gian Speeders are only called out only for serious situations and thus are rarely seen in action on the peaceful planet of Naboo. They are used in crowd control, urban combat or urban defence and excursions into Naboo's wilderness regions or for raids outside the cities against more serious enemies. Its armament makes this speeder a competent combat vehicle and can easily disable non-military vehicles. They are capable of withstanding considerable punishment, its extra underside plating protects this speeder from unexpected land mines, explosions and natural hazards such as rugged ground obstacles. The thrust pods have been tucked in to reduce the target silhouette of the Gian Speeder, thus making a harder target from front and back, however doing so made this speeder less manoeuvrable. Each light repeater laser blaster comes equipped with an auxiliary power unit.
