    The Naboo Queen's Royal Starship is sleek, elegant, gleaming and breathtaking work of art in every respect. This handcrafted starship was completed 6 years before the Battle of Naboo, replacing the previous royal vessel before Queen Amidala came to office. This ship is usually piloted by Ric Olié, who transports Queen Amidala in matchless style to locations around the planet Naboo for royal visitations, parades and other occasions. The ship also carries the Queen on formal state visits to other planetary leaders or to the Galactic Senate (which is located at Coruscant). The Royal Starship is designed for short trips, meaning that sleeping facilities are limited, they are primarily dedicated for the Queen and a customary entourage. The Royal Starship is totally unarmed in accordance with the Naboo philosophy of peaceful existence. The Royal Starship comes equipped with strong shields, advanced sensors, communication devices and a competent hyperdrive. The main purpose of this transport is to safely move the Queen Amidala from Naboo to any destination throughout the Galaxy. By tradition the ruler of Naboo selects a name for their transport. As of the Battle of Naboo, mere months into Queen Amidala's term, she had not yet chosen an official name for her transport.

    The climate-controlled wardrobe containers ensures that Queen Amidala always arrives at her destination in style. The wardrobes comes equipped with micrograv devices in their bases to ensure that cloths hang properly even if the closed container is tripped on its side. A mirrored chromium finish gleams over the entire surface of this craft, it is for decorative purposes only. It indicates that this is a royal vessel, only the Queen's own ship may be entirely chromed, non-royal vessels bear no chrome at all. The flawless hand-polished chrome surface is extremely difficult to produce and it is done by traditional craftspeople and not by factories or droids. The Royal Starship is an expression of the planet Naboo's love of beauty and art, its dreamlike shape paired with its chromium finish, make it a distinctive presence in any setting. This ship is designed to show the glory of the Naboo Royalty and the noble spirit of the people of Naboo. Serving the Queen is a great honour and the design of a Royal Starship is the highest goal which an engineer from Naboo can aspire. Even simple components onboard this ship are handcrafted in the elegant Naboo style. The distinctive interior of this ship is characterized by elegant curves and a clean, refined look. Intricate sensors built into the craft instantly report any damage, thus allowing the crew to pinpoint problem areas immediately. The high-precision diagnostic and analysis equipment onboard allow the crew to conduct a variety of tests. The wide range of equipment is capable of anticipating problems before they even occur.

    Like much of Naboo design, aesthetic concerns come before utility. Every centimetre of the ship's wiring is laid out with exacting precision and care, neatly running in perfect parallel rows to honour the Queen. The ship's spaceframe is unique yet is uses many standard galactic high-technology components that cannot be produced on Naboo. The ship is built around the elegant Nubian 327 sublight and hyperdrive engine components, which gives it high performance and exotic air. Nubian systems are often sought by galactic royalty and discriminating buyers who appreciate the distinctive design flair of Nubian components. Nubian components are easily acquired on civilized worlds but can be hard to come by on more remote planets. Unlike other hyperdrives in most starships which are complicated connections of hyperdrive components, the Royal Starship features a hyperdrive core that is of excellent work of precision art. Its intricate maze of hyperdrive effect channels and the Naboo made charge planes improves the performance of the hyperdrive to impressive speeds and allowing the Royal Starship to slip into hyperspace smoothly. Hyperdrive conduits running through the ship channel the lightspeed effect throughout the ship for stability and speed.

    This ship is equipped with a droid hold in the ventral aft section (between the landing gear and below the Royal Thrown Room), it holds a total of 8 R2 Units. The droid hold's droid lift tube is located directly behind the Queen's throne in the Royal Thrown Room. Located in the nose of this ship are the communication antennas, the forward long-range sensor array, navigational sensors, forward deflector shield projectors and the forward maintenance station. The slits in the nose contain navigational floodlights. Stereoscopic sensor arrays are located in the engine nacelle domes and in the wings that attaching them to the ship are the port and starboard deflector shield projectors. Located behind the escape pods is the ship's power core and engineering tech station and override controls. The "rat-tails" finials at the end of the engines are heat sinks to help cool the engines since they burn hotter than normal for cleaner operation therefore giving off less emissions, in accordance with the Naboo philosophy of harmony. The forward section of the ship contains the Royal Quarters, then the Forward Hold, the mid section holds the Main Hold and Hyperdrive Bay (in floor), and the aft section holds the Cockpit and the Royal Throne Room.
