The Light Corvette is one of the three main ships employed by Imperial Customs, with the other two being the Imperial Customs Corvette and the Guardian-class Light Cruiser. It was conceived to counter ships flown by smugglers who have modified their craft beyond legal specifications and have reckless tendencies. This design is quick, nimble, rugged, features excellent weapons and shields; in short it's solid at its job. This ship was in service at least a few weeks after the Battle of Yavin. The area between the two forward arms of the corvette feature sufficient space to allow a Ghtroc freighter to be docked.

    With no surprise, shadowport knockoffs are in high demand. Nonetheless, the produced knockoffs suffer from the low quality of the outlaw shipyards. It is known that shadowports such as StarForge Station employs some of their manufactured knockoffs for their own defence. Unfortunately, pirates have managed to get their grubby hands on these ships. In the case of the Pirates of Prexiar, they managed to capture a Light Corvette and modify it for their nefarious purposes.
