Rebel Urban Guerillas are one of the common branches of the Rebel Alliance's SpecForces. They place emphasis on making do with whatever materials that are on hand. As their name implies, Rebel Urban Guerillas use hit-and-run tactics. They also conduct sniper attacks from rooftops and use dark alleys to lob home-made explosives at their targets, after which they escape to a new position before enemy troops can pin them down.
Rebel Urban Guerillas are
experts in exploiting the confines of constricted urban terrain to their
advantage, such as the streets, buildings, and sewers. Thus due to their
capabilities, they are able to engage enemy troops that outnumber them
by several times. Rebel Guerilla cells have been the nemesis of many Imperial
Governors, spreading insurrection and revolt wherever they travel. Unfortunately,
the Rebels have effectively used their Urban Guerillas to initiate uprisings
on many worlds under Imperial control. The Urban Guerillas are transported
to the targeted planet, from which they begin recruitment and training
of the local inhabitants. They lead the locals in combat until they are
capable of taking over the operations themselves.
