The Troop Carrier is a repulsorlift sled that is designed to transport Trade Federation Battle Droids into deployment zones behind the protection of ground armour, in secure conditions or within occupied territory. Its drive unit has been adapted from a civilian cargo sled. Its droid troop deployment rack is similar to that in the MTT, as it is capable of holding a full complement of droids folded into their space-saving configuration. This lightly armoured repulsorlift skiff is equipped with a forward flood light, but little else. This craft was in Trade Federation service some time before the Battle of Naboo.
