The AQ-5 Waveskimmer "Wave Walker" Prototype is the predecessor to the Wave Walkers deployed at the Battle of Calamari, six years after the Battle of Endor. This Prototype came into existence at least a year before our glorious victory at the Battle of Hoth. These craft are based on a strengthened and highly modified AT-AT walker frame, specially modified for aquatic combat. The largest difference in the vehicle is the propulsion system, as this craft is not a walker at all.

    With this in mind, the craft rests on two pontoon-like stabilizers on the ends of flattened booms. The Wave Walker claims a powerful repulsorthruster unit that gives it its speed. Test pilots have had nothing but excellent reports concerning the Wave Walker Prototype. This vehicle is reportedly an extremely potent assault craft. The Rebel Alliance fears this new design using the efficiency of the Wave Walker as an indication of what is to come. They also believe that the Wave Walker is the first in a long line of new Imperial Military contracts for Hydrospeare Corporation. Presently, this vehicle is not on the market since it is still in the prototype stages.
